Before connecting to WhatsApp, you need a phone number purchased through GHL Customer Care. This number will receive the WhatsApp verification code during setup — either by **SMS** or by **phone call** (via call forwarding).

Call forwarding is required if your LC/Twilio number only has **voice capabilities**. During WhatsApp registration, Meta will send a verification OTP via phone call — you must be able to receive it.

**1\. Connect Your Agency Stripe Account**

To resell WhatsApp to clients, your **agency Stripe account** must be connected. This allows you to collect WhatsApp subscription payments directly from your sub-accounts.

**Note:** If you do not connect Stripe, you can still deploy WhatsApp using **Direct Deploy**. However, the subscription fee will be charged directly to your **agency card on file**, and the reselling feature will not be available.

**2\. Enable Reselling**

In your **Agency Settings > Reselling tab**, you can:

The onboarding flow will guide you through creating a **WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)** and a **Business Profile** if you do not already have one. You will need a [Facebook Account](https://www.facebook.com/signup) and a [Meta Business Account](https://business.facebook.com/).
